My advice on online “Gurus"

It's one thing to study war and another to live the warrior's life. -Telamon of Arcadia

Something that really bugs me about today's world is the amount of people calling themselves coaches. On a quick scroll through social media, people will tell you every secret and hack there is to get what you want. My only issue with that is, if this advice really works, did it work for you?

My belief is, if you are giving advice on how to become a millionaire you should be there yourself.

If you are giving advice on how to have a sound relationship, your relationship should be bulletproof.

If you are telling people about mental health you should be living an amazing life and feeling great most of the time without the need of drugs.

If you are preaching fitness you need to be the embodiment of that.

I can tell you from experience that you can go to every training course and get certifications/titles. You can seek out all the "gurus" and mentors. You can read all the books as well. However, until you put your head down and get to work you are just living in a world of theory, never actually making progress. And keep in mind, yes most of the gurus are good people and want to help but they are teaching before they actually learned anything.

That being said, if you are looking for a mentor or online guru make sure they actually know what they are talking about and not just making their money selling courses.

Friend was telling me a story earlier of how he was hanging out at a bar in Downtown San Diego called Barleymash. He didn't realize it until afterwards but he was getting drunk with two millionaires from the UK. He of course asked them what advice you can give to him. In a nutshell they told him to just go out and do it. Until you try, you won't really know anything.

Much love,

Horus.
